In the fall of 2023, the York County Beekeepers Association started a partnership with a York county farm in need of help with their neglected apiary.

From 2023-2024, YCBA members developed a plan to establish a club teaching apiary at the farm, securing a grant from the Maine State Beekeepers Association to assist with moving the bees from their old location to a new location on the farm, complete with new equipment, a storage shed, and a bear fence!

Starting in 2025, the YCBA began using this apiary for membership education programs and events!
